How the does timing of John Wayne Airport’s international new flights to Canada shadow the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs

Perchance, John Wayne Airport’s new international schedule could be timed with the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. If the Anaheim Ducks advance to next series, could Vancouver be the next contender?

In recent news, Orange County Airport Board of Supervisors issued approval of a Passenger Airline Lease with WestJet. Just as SouthWest is America’s budget amicable airline, WestJet is Canada’s low airfare.

Did you know…Westjet provides its passengers with extra legroom, leather seating as well as a live seatback television

Effective, May 2, 2011 WestJet commences daily non-stop service, departing from John Wayne Airport (JWA) to Vancouver, British Columbia. Additional service begins  to (Calgary Alberta  Canada) June 13, 2011.

Orange County Airport director, Alan L. Murphy comments: “We are thrilled to welcome WestJet to John Wayne Airport…along with their top-notch customer service, will be warmly received here in Orange County.”

WestJet’s flight addition from John Wayne Airport CA makes it the airline’s 72nd flight departing from  North America. The airline also offers service from the Caribbean.

WestJet happens to own a fleet of 92 Boeing Next-Generation 737.

WestJet’s scheduled flight departure from John Wayne Airport is as follows:

Daily starting on May 2, 2011, flights from Orange County (SNA) at 2:15 PM with an a 5:05 p.m. arrival time in Vancouver (YVR)

Starting on June 13, WestJet will add another departing flight from Orange County Airport. On this date, WestJet departure flights take off from John Wayne Airport, landing at Calgary (YYC) at 4:35 p.m.

In the event that the Ducks beat the Nashville, Predators; and Vancouver shuts out the Chicago Blackhawks, the debut of daily departures from Orange County Airport to Vancouver could parallel the Ducks sending the Canucks packing the season in.
