Travelers in a hurry often miss what’s right around them, but travelers who have a long wait at the airport, typically due to heightened security measures, may want to spend a little time investigating what the airport has to offer.

Many airports around the country have partnered with museums, artists, schools and cultural institutes to bring in a variety of exhibitions for travelers to enjoy.  Some of these exhibitions are hung along the walls of the moving sidewalks while others are located in baggage claim areas and others have their own dedicated galleries.  With the exhibitions, airports hope to provide some education, entertainment and culture to the environment.

Orange County’s John Wayne Airport is no exception. Now through April 8th the airport is featuring a photography exhibit displaying 19 photos by Fullerton artist and former Orange Coast College journalism student, Kevin Warn.  Warn’s photos feature still lifes, nature and city landscapes.

The exhibition is located in the non-secure side of the Thomas F. Riley Terminal beside the baggage carousels in Terminal A and Terminal B.  Because the exhibition is featured in the non-secure area, the general public has the opportunity to enjoy the exhibition.
